“…Das fremde Haus bietet alles was sie brauchen, die ursprünglichen Besitzer sind weg, und so ziehen sie es dem langen Weg nach Bremen vor.” (“…The strange house offers everything they need; the original owners are gone, and so they prefer it to the long road to Bremen.”)
It seems to us that there is a universal pursuit of utopian ideals across culture, as reflected through fables of different countries. United through such aspirations, perhaps the differences are in the moral lessons offered to the children.
